In the second quarter of 2025, social apps on the Android platform in Greece showed interesting trends in downloads, revenue, and active users. According to Sensor Tower, the top five apps in this category were TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE, Threads, Instagram, Facebook, and Facebook Lite.

TikTok - Videos, Shop & LIVE saw fluctuations in its weekly revenue, peaking at around $299K in mid-April. Downloads rose to approximately 27.7K by the end of June, while active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 1.5M throughout the quarter.

Threads maintained a steady download rate, reaching a high of about 12K weekly downloads in mid-June. Active users showed a gradual decline from approximately 440K to 365K by the end of the quarter.

Instagram experienced a consistent increase in weekly revenue, closing the quarter at nearly $6.7K. Downloads peaked at 12.1K in late June, with active users remaining above 1.8M throughout the period.

Facebook demonstrated a steady rise in weekly revenue, reaching about $3K by the end of June. Weekly downloads varied, peaking at 8.6K in early May, while active users remained stable at around 2.2M.

Finally, Facebook Lite showed a modest increase in downloads, peaking at 5.1K in late May. Active users saw a gradual drop from 49K to around 41K by the end of the quarter.
